What Do You Mean By, "We The President"?
"We The President" is the Birth of an Interactive Direct Democracy & Collaborative Presidency.
SIMPLY STATED: An Interactive Direct Democracy & Collaborative Presidency is the ongoing process of OUR COLLECTIVE VOICE & THUS OUR PRESIDENTIAL AGENDA agreed and then acted upon via this (will be expanded) website.
This site will offer an online discussion board, with an "Issues Page" where we will be able to share what EACH OF US (age does not matter in this campaign! :) feels the most important issue(s) are that we need Our Presidency to focus on.
The issues that are then "talked" about the most, will rise to the top of the discussion board, letting us see what we collectively wish to focus our Presidential Agenda upon.
NOTE: What we will all need to do to achieve this is FOCUS ONLY ON WHAT WE WANT. If we spend time posting to an issue we are not interested in, complaining about it, saying it's not as important as this other issue, etc, the issue you are not interested in will gain popularity (for your recognition of it) and begin to rise! :-o Don't worry, we will have moderators to keep an eye on things, but to make the job easier for all of us, again, JUST FOCUS ON WHAT YOU WANT! Clear?
EACH ISSUE will also have a SOLUTIONS PAGE where ANYONE (again, age does not matter) will be able to Post Solutions to the issues presented. Again, the solutions we focus on the most will rise to the top, showing us what we believe we need our COLLECTIVE PRESIDENTIAL AGENDA to focus upon.
That's the basics of this campaign. We will get into further "How To" details as we collectively agree to do so!

Prove that People Power is Stronger than Money Power - This "campaign" will not be won by corporate sponsors who purchase candidates to manipulate them into foul play, whether it's backing dirty energy, slave labor, deforestation, war, pollution, dirty politics, dirty banking, etc.
Rather, we will prove that "WE THE PEOPLE" "WE THE PRESIDENT" have FAR MORE POWER WHEN UNITED then the minuscule group of crook minded corporate conspirers and their political puppets who's Financial Influences & Top Positions will disappear under the UNITED VOICE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
There is a greater number of people who BELIEVE in EQUALITY, BELIEVE in JUSTICE, BELIEVE in PEACE, & BELIEVE that caring for our planet and ALL her People takes far less resources then warring for it.
According to the Borgen Project, it would cost $30 billion to End World Hunger. Yet "America" spends $540 billion on its Annual U.S. Defense Budget and $170 billion on its Annual U.S. War Spending.
IF we fed the world, WHO would want to be at war with us? How much "money" would we have if we were able to put an end to war??! I'll tell you... enough for every being on this planet to have food, shelter, health care AND an education. YAY! That's What I'm Talking About!
~ I do realize the reasons for war are not exclusive to people being hungry (or maybe it is?!), but I do believe a movement towards eradicating world hunger is such a noble cause in and of itself, that the shift towards attaining this goal may be the catalyst we need for the people of the world to see "America" truly has Equality, Justice, Morality & Kindness at the core of our Political Campaign (FINALLY!).
Could it truly be this easy? I know I'm willing to stand behind this as a possibility… how about you?!
NOTE… THIS CAMPAIGN WILL NOT BE SPOKEN OF IN MAINSTREAM MEDIA (except, perhaps to be spoken of in negative terms - which would mean we're really onto something!!!) BECAUSE THE SAME CORPORATE CROOKS NOW OWN MOST OF OUR MEDIA OUTLETS INCLUDING FOX 5, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, NEW YORK TIMES, ABC NEWS, CBS NEWS AND MOST OTHER ENTITIES THAT WE HAVE LISTENED TO OVER THE YEARS.
At least now we know how we got ourselves into this mess to begin with. We have been listening day in and day out to the crooks who would rather impose upon us visions of doom, gloom, fear, despair, control, war, separation, discrimination, etc. when truly, we are creatures of community, love, support, caring, sharing, joyfulness, prayer and play!
~ Strategy ~ "OUR Time Has Come." YES IT HAS! Don't you just LOOOOOVE the Internet?!
Minimal funding will be required to make this happen, as there are costs to every campaign, including this website. BUT!!! A little bit of money, time, and action given freely by ALL OF US WILL ENALBE US TO WIN THIS CAMPAIGN DOOR TO DOOR, GRASSROOTS & INTERNET STYLE!!!
NO TECH CONCERN: How do we reach and include people who do not have a computer or internet access? Luckily 74% of American's are already online! The others… In the beginning, we will reach non internet users the same way we've always done it (even back in the 1920's!)… Door to Door, Grassroots Style. But now with a Brochure and DVD to leave behind for individuals to copy and share. The DVD will include a simple video on how to access the internet and navigate http://www.wethepresident.com from local libraries. (Individuals/Communities/Organizations can also set up Local Community Centers - even in their homes if need be?! - to share resources - digital and non digital).
As the movement builds and our collective funds grow, we have close to three years to look into the design of a hand held, text only based device (text only = more cost efficient) where individuals can, read, share and talk about issues as well as solutions from wherever they choose, as well as agree to vote for "US" :)
Considering funding, a tiny monthly donation of $1.44 is all it will cost to keep an account active, a voice heard, and our "to be 2012 Presidential vote" known and shared with others on the site.
One of the reasons for having the $1.44 donation is to show how far our collective dollars go when we pool our resources together! Could this be the birth of a shared economy?
First and foremost what this donation offers all of us is a placeholder for each of our voices. As each person becomes a donating member, the number of participating members gets reflected on the home page of this website so that we can visually see how many of us are connected and in support of this campaign/movement!
#1 reason for this? So when November 2nd, 2012 comes, we will be able to CONFIDENTLY VOTE for the "President" of our CHOICE. Of course, in this case, we will be voting for OUR FIRST TRUE INTERACTIVE DIRECT DEMOCRACY & COLLABORATIVE PRESIDENCY!
